Cost reduction design effort to remove assembly problems that related to the cardcage and design new custom rack for mainframe, fan trays, plenums, structural
foam handles and 49" X 76" pressure formed plastic front panel. The new cardcage design removed all assembly and alignment problems previously encountered.
Cardcage assembly time dropped from 2 days to 2 hours. The self-fixturing rack and cardcage design removed substantial cost from unit.
